goat girl google googles

Caprine-aware search giant Google reports from its Mountain View HQ.

This spring we decided to take a low-carbon approach: Instead of using noisy mowers that run on gasoline and pollute the air, we’ve rented some goats from California Grazing to do the job for us (we’re not “kidding”).

Mountain “View”, eh? All looks suspiciously flat in the photo posted on the official google blog, but goats do offer another advantage: great traction on slopes. I took this photo today of two which have kept the 50% slope of the Royate Hill nature reserve (situated on top of a seven span railway viaduct!) trim for far longer than the google flock have been operating.
